Welcome to the dynamic world of battery innovations – BecoSearch keeps you one step ahead! As a free database for the battery ecosystem, we have set ourselves the goal of providing a comprehensive overview of usable research infrastructure and research institutions as well as companies – established players in the battery sector as well as start-ups – and to provide information on current and completed research projects.
Initially we began recording only battery-related projects in Germany. Since then, KLiB [ˈklɪb] – funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research – has continuously developed BecoSearch. In the beginning of 2025, we started recording European and international activities. BecoSearch strives for long-term searchability and an expansion of the database and is continuously being developed further, currently as part of the BEMA On project.
The data in BecoSearch is provided by project leaders, companies, research institutions, and other organizations, and is also researched by our team from publicly available sources such as the German federal government’s funding catalog. Your support is crucial! We invite all companies and institutions involved with batteries to join in and independently enter their projects, companies and research infrastructure in BecoSearch and update existing data. Accurate and detailed entries increase the visibility of your company and your activities in the field of batteries and improve the effectiveness of BecoSearch for all users.
Please note that tagging in BecoSearch is not yet complete. Additional projects and companies are currently being reviewed and will then be published subsequently. Therefore, please do not use BecoSearch for statistical statements yet, as they are currently not representative! However, we are happy to assist you in interpreting data sets and creating corresponding statements.
BecoSearch is part of Batterieforum Deutschland, whose product family also includes a Congress and a Battery encylopedia.
