Guidelines for the inclusion of projects

  • Only projects that deal with secondary electrochemical energy storages (secondary batteries) are (currently) included in BecoSearch – projects that deal with Power2Gas, Power2Liquid or supercapacitors are not included (unless they are related to batteries)
  • In some cases, only some (not all) sub-projects from joint projects are included if the other sub-projects do not deal directly with batteries – for example, a sub-project that deals with the development of a battery for an application, while all other sub-projects cover other fields of the application such as control, bodywork, etc.
  • Not only projects that research and develop cells and batteries are included, but also projects that deal with production, application (of the battery), recycling and all other aspects of the battery ecosystem.
  • So far, only publicly funded projects from the federal ministries (e.g. BMBF, BMWK, BMEL) have been included – however, we are endeavoring to expand the project database to include projects funded by other sponsors. Until this is possible, we will publish all other projects in the More Projects section – provided they are related to Germany. However, BecoSearch is open to cooperations with the federal states and countries, particularly in Europe, in order to include their funded projects on secondary batteries in BecoSearch. Please contact us, if you are interested in using BecoSearch for your funding initiatives.
  • So far, only projects that were still running in October 2015 and thereafter or are currently running have been included. However, you are also welcome to report projects before this period.

Guidelines for the inclusion of companies, research institutions and other organizations

  • Companies, research institutions and other organizations (hereinafter referred to as organizations) that are active in the secondary battery ecosystem are (currently) included in BecoSearch.
  • BecoSearch also (currently) includes organizations working in a project funded by the Federal Ministries (e.g. BMBF, BMWK, BMEL) and related to secondary electrochemical energy storage. We are endeavoring to expand the database to include projects funded by other sources.
